However, there are technical limitations on where save points can be inserted, particularly when the hunt mechanic is involved. ![]() I recognise that some segments can take a while to complete, which makes it all the more frustrating if you leave part-way through and return to reset progress. There is, unfortunately, a long gap between those points, a prime example being between entering the Farmlands, going through the Sviir cave and completing the introductory hunt tutorial. Campaign and quest progression doesn't save on a timed loop like your character's status but instead saves at specific points, most often story beats in the narrative. The less frequent save is your character's quest progression. ![]() This information is saved at regular short intervals and is essentially constantly refreshing. Essentially anything that makes your character who they are or what they can carry.
